About Me
Who I am
My name is Zach Brooks, a musician with around 15 years of experience. I am a song-writer, performer, and producer across many genres and styles. I have been playing guitar, bass, drums, and singing for most of my life, and enjoy being able to share it with everyone that I can. I have about 5 years of experience as a music educator working with students of all skill levels and ages from 4 through adults. I hope that I get to be a part of your musical experience!
What I Do
My goal is to have you or your child have the best possible experience with music. When I started my own music lessons, I was asked to play through exercises in books and memorize scales — I never enjoyed that. What I strive to do is to help students to put understand music theory and music technique through songs. After all, songs are what make us fall in love with music. My philosophy is that every student should be able to learn the music that they want to play and, in the process, learn valuable music and life skills.
Primarily I do in house lessons, where I will come to you, but that can be negotiated on a case by case basis if necessary.
Why me?
My years of experience in both music and education provide me with a deep toolbox of skills. Additionally, providing an in-home lesson allows you or your child to have an experience in a comfortable environment.
